Mars Rover Finds A UFO On Mars This Month, Sept 7, 2013, UFO Sighting News. Email Report.

Date of sighting: Sept 2013
Location of sighting: Mars
Date of photo: September 7, 2013

Really an incredible discovery. This one comes in our email from a reader who found it. Actually its so small most people would over look it, but I enlarged the photo 8X and this is what we got. The black parts of the ship seem to be windows. Notice the two humps and the lower black windshield like area? Sure its different than what you thing you would fly in a million years or so in Earths future, but really we have no idea what it will be like. I was very pleasantly surprised at this photo taken by Mars Curiosity Rover...that rarely happens. SCW

  1. Hi Scott,

I do expect to eventually find some of the miniature alien flying craft in the curiosity photos, but I think we have jumped the gun on this one. In the past, I have noticed that the Mast Camera (Mastcam) sometimes seems to add a small smudge every so many inches across some large panoramic pictures. So even though this did not seem to be a smudge and does have lots of detail, I checked out several DAYS of photos. (SOL 384 - 387) and ALWAYS found this mark on the Front Hazard Avoidance Camera: Right B

It was also in the same place on every picture, so I suspect maybe it's a glitch in the photo memory.

Left B Hazcam leaves a different "round" smudge in every picture and does not capture the same UFO always found in the Right B Hazcam.

I have been looking at the NASA/JPL photos for a few months now in my spare time and find that the photos seem to have artifacts from file compression and that makes it difficult for many people to see the really interesting parts of some pictures. I tend to feel that the NASA engineers have the rover sending lots of photos back, but not necessarily in as high a quality as possible.

Most likely the UFO in this photo is a glitch, but if NASA wanted to hide some things in the photos, adding something obvious might distract us from the real items of interest or adding a glitch might tend to destroy our credibility to independently study the photos.

Aside from looking at the sky for UFOs, I would be looking for certain "rocks" to look mobile or like something mechanical. I would also look for certain "rocks" to reappear in different photos as the rover moves along over several days.

Thanks for all you do & keep looking up.

  2. Hi Scott,

I went ahead and checked more Hazcam photos and this glitch has been there for months.

See: Front Hazcam: Right B on SOL 300:

In this business, we should expect to make some mistakes as well as some great finds.

    Keep up the good work.

  3. Looks like Robert V is right at least from the link provided by him. The same thing shows up in a different picture and in the same area. An Atifact. So if it's too good to be true then it probably is. Oh and I will keep looking thats for sure. They are out there (Aliens) they will be seen by everybody eventually.

    1. What we need are closer UFOs to solve this problem. LOL, we'll get them sooner or later. The will mess up and get caught.
