The orb has no way of hiding and is easily seen moving above the trees. The eyewitness states that a NORAD military station is nearby, but from what I have heard, NORAD is use to ignoring UFOs on the radar. These orbs are white when they are 30 meters or further away from you, but when they are 2 meters from you they have a pearlescent surface that moves ever so slowly. Scott C. Here is a cool testement to the UFOs recorded on radar by NORAD every year. Some documents were released to the public, but most are decades old. It seems the gov only releases old records, rather than the new more important ones. Scott C. Waring www.ufosightingsdaily.com News states:

Vigiani states that in reference to the NORAD documents in his possession he has been threatened with indictment if he releases this file.
“Any distribution of kind of information” Viggiani quotes from the document, “threatens National Security in addition to the Espionage Act of the United States.”
Viggiani then defiantly released these files to the members of the press attending the most significant event of its kind this year — the ET Disclosure Hearing — Canada’s first national inquiry into UFOs and Extraterrestrials held Saturday, June 25th, 2016 at the Alien Cosmic Expo in Brantford Ontario, Canada.

Many residents of Waldo Canyon are claiming a large object was seen falling from the sky burning brightly and broke up as it fell. Over 30,000 residents were evacuated due to the fire it caused and on TV News a UFO was seen following a helicopter that was attempting to put out the fires. NORAD also confirmed something from space did fall over the area. If NORAD is involved then it may have been a UFO that crashed and that would explain the sighting of the UFO near the helicopter. That UFO may have been sent to see if the crashed UFO had any survivors.
