Update: A lot of people are emailing me saying that this squirrel was part of a NASA experiment to test how long it would live on the surface of Mars and I do believe this does sound like something they might do. Why would they not tell us about it? Because the squirrel would be expected to die eventually and that would get PETA to fight against them in a court of law. SCW
A friend emailed this in to me today (Original Photo on NASA Website…click here!) and its really amazing and strange. I guess thats why I love this one so much. Its a cute rodent on Mars. Note it's lighter color upper and lower eyelids, it's nose and cheek areas, its ear, its front leg and stomach. Looks similar to a squirrel camouflaged in the stones and sand by its colors. Hey, who doesn't love squirrels right? That doesn't look like a squirrel you say? Then have a look at the photo below of similar squirrel in the same position on Earth. This might have been the big historical announcement that NASA was suppose to make, however they decided life on Mars was a secret worth keeping since they don't want China or Russia to beat America to Mars. So they shut up about it and can take their time to Mars this way. The scientist jumped the gun and told the public about a major historical discovery on Mars…this must be what he was talking about. Full photo below, but in low resolution…go to source for full detail.

in the picture above it looks like thee could be another one just under it. with its back to us you can just see 2 ears sticking out slightly
ReplyDeleteThe strange thing is...if NASA delivered it...its eyes are open and it seems to be exploring not affected much by lack of oxygen. It seems to be sniffing the ground. Normal behaviour, but I wonder how long it lived and was it able to find some kind of food, they do have a great sense of smell and may find something.
Deletei seen that too , like it's back is too us , that is in a way so cool , maybe there is some oxygen on mars ..
Deleteu know i seen that too , like it has it's back to us , that would be cool if mars has a small amount of oxygen on it ..
DeleteI've passed on this link to a number of media outlets. THIS HAS TO END NOW it's getting beyond a joke!
ReplyDeleteAgreed, it never was funny.
DeleteRodents in space? I guess NASA had included a passenger on Curiousity. Wonder where they stored the squerrel kibble?
ReplyDeleteLOL, true it would take some serious drugs to put this little guy into hibernation for the full trip, but knowing how long a living creature from earth could survive on Mars sound like an experiment NASA would do, but they would want to keep quiet about it otherwise PETA would destroy them in court.

ReplyDeleteAwesome !
ReplyDeleteIf you can find the same scene pictured at a different time, and show it has moved, then you have something.
ReplyDeleteSorry to be a bit skeptical, but there is so much you can do with images that it is rather hard to believe. It has to have a food source and some sort of burrow. Look for a hole or nest close by. Show me how they survive. If they are there, what preys on them is going to be bigger so why haven't we seen it?
DeleteFirst, if a squirrel like rodent is there, then there are others. I have shown 4-5 such animals on Mars, one moved in 4 NASA photos! So what do they feed on...other living things.
DeleteHaving an answer only makes you have more questions. O_o
I'm wondering what all these living things you keep saying are in these pictures are eating. Like this Marsquirrel. I guess he eats rocks and dirt...? As for drinking water.... don't see a lot of ponds in these pix being sent back.
ReplyDeleteone humanoïd's skull broken and one animal's skull on this picture. above rodent, under blue rock about humanoîd's skull and to all left picture above rodent about animal's skull (white colors near blue rocks). do you see them ?
ReplyDeleteI would interested to know why there are sharks teeth in the picture. What beach was this picture taken on?
ReplyDeleteThank you, people. There is a way Mother Nature duplicates people, places and things [on Earth and elsewhere]. An open mind is nice.A rock can look like any animal or person. Like a prior comment, "Let's see that at another time, PLEASE!" Then let us really pass judgement.

ReplyDeleteMars atmosphere is way to thin to support life so im guessing its an optical illusion with so called statues & skulls. As for the animal its a possible photoshop job. They're is no food chain... no liquid water to with held life on Mars.
ReplyDelete3 things 1 can say about MARS,
(1) CO2: 95.32% - N2: 2.7% - Ar: 1.6% - O2: 0.13% - CO: 0.08% - H2O: 0.021% - NO: 0.01% - Ne: 0.00025% - HDO: 0.000085% - Kr: 0.00003% - Xe: 0.000008% (ATMOSPHERE)
(2) Who know's maybe Mars had an ancient civilization(s) and became to over crowded on the planet & consumed its natural resources? Or maybe they're technology killed off the planet.. who known's just like our own planet, A World War could have broke out?? Earth = 2 world wars so its possilbe to think so.
(3) Or maybe Mars never had life ? What if our sister planet was born with a disability - not been able to with stand life? People and animals are born with disabilities stopping them from doing things... which is sad to say ppl :( but i hpe u see my point about Mars.

Very interesting and yes I thought of that, but you must understand it is impossible to photoshop a Curiosity photo and put it onto a NASA website, not to mention breaking the law, so the photo is 100% real. So I ask, why hasn't NASA ever commented about any of these findings?
DeleteAnd i guess you are 1000% positive about these so called 'facts" about Mars atmosphere compostion, since WHY on earth would NASA ever lie to us!
DeleteHow did this site manage to get a hold of the picture?
ReplyDeleteLets just say there is a small % chance this was NASA's little experiment, the animal rights around the planet would flip out! If the rodent was transfered, how could it survive that long in the craft? It would suffer massive bone/muscle lost etc...
Unmanned probes from Earth can take from 7 months to two years to reach Mars, depending on when they are launched and how fast they can travel. The direct distance can vary from about 58 million kilometers to more than 400 million kilometers.
The distance is at least 36 million miles (58 million km).
So the minimum time would be:
At 70 MPH -- 56 years
At 500 MPH -- 8 years
At Mach 1 (0.34 km/sec) -- 5.4 years (5 years, 5 months)
At 40,000 MPH (fastest Voyager speed) -- 38 days
Manned Missions
The most commonly offered figure is "Six months there, and six months back". That is based on current (2013) technology, and there are currently no solid plans for a manned flight to Mars. By the time man does inevitably make a manned flight to Mars, there may be newer technologies in space travel that shorten the travel time.
The photo is from NASA…link is above. Click on it. How they got it to Mars…maybe drug induced hibernation, since they do sleep through winter, but could a squirrel be put into hibernation for 253 days and still come out of it? Thats the key question.
DeleteMy wife says it is a normal hamster, and hamsters are desert animals.
ReplyDeleteRegarding rodneyvs2000's comment about a second one looking back at it, she says that one looks more like a Chinese Hamster. These live in the deserts of China and Mongolia. Here's a link: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chinese_hamster
Also, it appears that red hue is added for all mars pictures. When you reduce the red content of the entire picture, the creature's color and the ground's color is brown, like here on earth.
My wife says it is a normal hamster. They are desert animals.
ReplyDeleteRegarding the above post by rodneyvs2000 "in the picture above it looks like thee could be another one just under it. with its back to us you can just see 2 ears sticking out slightly", she says that one looks like a Chinese Dwarf Hamster which lives in the deserts of Mongolia.
If you reduce the red content of the entire picture, the dirt and hamsters are brown, just like here on earth. In fact, it could BE a picture of earth.
At a slight distance under the hamster's nose, there is a rabbit looking straight toward the camera. It's one ear is directly vertical, and the other ear is at the two o'clock position. Download the original picture, then enlarge it and you will see it clearly. You will also see other interesting discoveries, such as at the top left of the picture where the black rectangular area is, as well as at the furthermost top right corner of the picture - where there are 2 perfectly 90 degree concrete structures placed perfectly aligned to each other. I RECOMMEND DOWNLOADING THIS PICTURE AND DATING IT - SINCE IT WILL SOON PROBABLY BE REMOVED OR ALTERED.
ReplyDeleteIf they haven't done this yet they should
ReplyDeleteThere is something more interesting in this picture above. At the left of the blueish/black rock below the "squirrel" you can see a perfect circle with a shadow. However in the fully detailed version it looks quite different to me. What do you think this?
