Eyewitness states:
I was going to Menemen/Izmir/Turkey from Manisa/Turkey . I was look the sky and see that light and take a photo quickly. I think , two object in the light beam and they are moved.
Looks like something I saw over Edinburgh Castle (Scotland) a couple of years ago. I was later told there were several Chinese lanterns floating around that night. I'm not an expert on those, but it must have been one of the biggest ones. Any estimate on the size of this one?
ReplyDeleteI live in chicago and i seen the same orange light gliding in the sky tonight april 5 2015
ReplyDeletehttp://prntscr.com/6q6js0 same light & the photo was taken in izmir konak...
ReplyDeleteHmm... It looks as it is a beam or maybe even some kind of red disc.
ReplyDeleteLooks the same as I can see here on a rare occasion. That is caused by (petro)chemical industry burning off waste products. Sometimes when the flame is big and with certain weather conditions you see a line of light reflected in the clouds above it.
ReplyDeleteOff course the position is static if that is the case and a chemical plant with a burning flame should be located right under the light. But is sure looks comparable.
I am in Baton Rouge, Louisiana and my coworkers and I saw the exact same thing. We took a couple photos and they look almost identical to these pictures.
