UFOs worthy of serious study, prof says April 11, 2010, UFO sighting.

BUFFALO, N.Y., April 11-- The subject of UFOs should be brought out into the open as a worthwhile "area of study," a New York anthropology professor says.

"(A sighting) happens to millions of people (around the world)," Philip Haseley said. "It's about time we looked into this as a worthy area of study. It's important that the whole subject be brought out in the open and investigated," The Buffalo (New York) News reported Sunday.

Haseley teaches at Niagara County Community College and is head of the Western New York Mutual UFO Network, an organization focused on UFO research.

About 30 to 50 alleged UFO sightings are reported monthly across New York, and Haseley says his group investigates them in a scientific manner using field investigation, radar, astronomy and meteorology.

"To say we are UFO believers basically implies we are taking this on faith, and that's not the case," he said. "There's plenty of evidence."

The members of the UFO network say they are well aware of their skeptics.

"We have to deal with skeptics like any other UFO organization, and we are perfectly willing to be critiqued," Haseley said. "We know people who think this is a nonsense subject. And we'll refer you to voluminous literature and facts about UFOs."

Chinese army admits UFO visitation is real and Chinese gov may be in contact with 3 alien races.

In February of last year a remarkable UFO event took place in the city of Liupanshui in Ghuizou Province in China.
Around a dozen firemen noticed a dazzling UFO hovering above their heads. One of the witnesses managed to take a photo of the UFO. The story made news worldwide.

Now the Chinese army as well as local scientists have admitted that they also observed this UFO on that occasion and on a number of other occasions. Footage of the event has finally been released showing the remarkable craft of possible alien origin (see video below).

The object as been analysed and no earthly explanation has been agreed on.

Chinese scientists working at astronomical stations generally concede that aliens are visiting earth. China is seen as having a much more open and honest attitude to Extraterrestrial visitation to Earth and UFOs. The real issue that is debated is what the aliens want. It is believed that the Chinese Government itself is in secret contact with at least three alien races.

Gary McKinnon with Janis Sharp
UFO hacker Gary McKinnon’s mum to stand against Jack Straw

THE mum of an autistic man wanted in the US on computer hacking charges is to stand for election in the Blackburn constituency of justice secretary Jack Straw.

Janis Sharp, from Brookmans Park, said she blamed Mr Straw for pushing through the UK’s controversial extradition treaty with the US, which could see her son Gary McKinnon sent to America to face trial.
If convicted of hacking, Asperger’s sufferer Gary, 44, could face up to 60 years in a federal prison.

Janis, who has fought an eight year battle to keep her son in the UK, will be standing as an independent candidate at the General Election and said she will be providing a voice for civil liberties.

Last year Home Secretary Alan Johnson said he could NOT block Gary’s extradition to the US on mental health grounds.

A judicial review of his decision will be take place at the High Court in London on May 25 and 26.

Prosecutors in America allege that Gary caused nearly £500,000 worth of damage to military computers in 2001 and 2002.

Glasgow-born Gary, who lives in North London, admits hacking but maintains he was looking for evidence of alien life.

UK fighter jet follows silver UFO on video April 10, 2010, 3 photos.

A mystery cameraman took footage of the military aircraft chasing the shiny orb. The three photos below are real, and from this UFO sighting.

The 30-second video clip is believed to have been taken from a West Midlands service station car park.

Expert Nick Pope, who probed UFO sightings for the MoD, said: "This is one of the best videos I've seen. It could be a new drone - that might explain the military jets.

"But you don't normally test-fly secret projects in daylight. Alternatively, this could be the real thing - a UFO in our airspace and military aircraft scrambled to intercept, probably due to it being tracked on radar."

The MoD refused to comment on the alleged sighting, but confirmed it would scramble jets to meet an air threat.

West Midlands Police said: "We are not aware of any reports of unidentified aircraft near the M5."

Mother ship UFO sighting as triange craft flies over Oakland, California april 8, 2010.

I went outside for a smoke at around 1:10 AM this morning. I was looking at the stars facing southwest, when something caught my eye. I quickly looked over and in 1-2 seconds I saw 4 lights moving at an incredible speed past the roof of my house. I quickly ran around to the side of the house to see what it was. For the next 2-4 seconds I clearly saw 3 lights forming a triangle speeding across the sky directly south. There was also a light right in the middle of all 3. There was a large distance between the lights, because at the speed they were moving, they stayed in perfect unison probably 5-6 miles apart from each other. I'm not sure whether or not these were rim lights to some large craft, but it seems unlikely since the distance between them stayed in a perfect triangle. If this is the case, the craft must have been absolutely huge. The speed of this object was approximately (and I'm guessing here) 10-15x faster than the airplanes I observed in the sky over the SF Bay Area during the minutes after the sighting. I can't stress enough that this thing was moving INCREDIBLY FAST! The night sky during the event was very hazy, with the lights from San Francisco making it hard to see the stars. I lost sight of the object in the haze traveling southward. The lights also appeared to be speeding up. For the past year, I lived outside the city, and saw many shooting stars during the night and early morning. I am absolutely certain that these lights were not shooting stars. I hope this report is of use to someone. -Cheers -Stuartb

Motorist swerved into bus land 'to avoid UFO', 9 Apr 2010, England.

Motorist swerved into bus land 'to avoid UFO', 9 Apr 2010.

A motorist fined for straying into a bus lane claimed he swerved to avoid a UFO, according to a list of bizarre excuses used by errant drivers.

The man was given a £120 fine after being caught on camera veering into the bus lane to dodge a traffic queue.
But instead of paying up the driver claimed that he was 'forced' to swerve into the bus lane to avoid an alien spaceship which was 'hurtling towards him' in Southwark, south London.

He told parking appeals bosses that he would 'never normally' use a bus lane, but that he had to take 'avoidance action' to swerve the UFO.
Parking chiefs rejected his appeal, telling him the camera did not catch the UFO, and forced him to stump up the fine.
Other bizarre claims revealedby Southwark Council include a motorist who told them he wasn't liable for a parking fine because he was colour blind and thought a yellow line was blue.
He told parking appeals officials that because of his disability he had 'no idea' that parking was restricted.

Again, his appeal was rejected on the grounds that 'everybody knows not to park on double lines, regardless of colour'.
Other motorists tried to avoid fines by saying they were asleep in their car and were taking Government road safety advice by taking a break rather than 'drive tired'.

Another said that he thought you could park anywhere when it was raining and yet another said they had 'no idea' what a residential parking bay was.

Gill Davies, the parking chief of Southwark Council, said : "The imagination of some of the drivers is quite impressive.
"But UFOs and colour blindness unfortunately do not count as legitimate reasons to overturn a parking ticket."

Motorist Sam Brockwell, 45, said he lost his appeal after parking his car in a bus lane when his pet cat escaped from its cage as he took it to the vet.

He said: "My cat managed to get out of the carry cage and tried to jump on my lap as I drove, so I pulled over in the bus lane for a second to put him back in his box.

"I got a £120 fine and I can't say I was happy about it."

The council issued more than £6m in parking fines last year - more than than the cities of Manchester and Birmingham combined, who notched up £4m between them.

England UFO fireball mystery deepens 8 April, 2010, photos.

England UFO fireball mystery deepens 8 April, 2010.

OUR recent story about a Culloden man who claims to have seen a UFO four times between Nairn and Inverness has sparked more reports of similar mysterious sightings about the same time.

Some readers have been dismissive of the whole phenomenon of UFOs, but several have backed up Mr Jackson's claims that there is something strange going on in the sky at night.

Mr Jackson's first sighting was at Nairn on Valentine's Day when he stopped his van in Grantown Road to observe a spherical shaped fireball about the size of a helicopter or truck cab.

The following night, he went out with his mother to the same spot and on their way back to Culloden they spotted the same orange light travelling at speed along the coastline over the Moray Firth..

He had further sightings in Inverness on February 27 and again over the Moray Firth at Nairn Links on March 6.

One couple claimed the sighting on Valentine's Day was a love lantern they had set off in the Cairngorm mountains and another reader has contacted us to say that with her boyfriend she set off a love lantern from the Firhall bridge at Nairn which is only a few hundred yards from where Rob made his first sighting.

But another Inverness couple, Wendy Mackenzie and Jack Watson, contacted our website and said they had seen the fireball UFO in the sky..

Wendy said: "We were taking in the washing - yes, in the dark - and looked up to see a ball of fire travelling from west to east above Scorguie. It came over Craig Phadrig and headed out along the Moray Firth..

"Never seen anything like it. We simply can't explain it. No noise, completely silent and travelling in a straight line..

"My parents also told us about having seen the same sort of thing about a year a ago. Very strange indeed. Certainly not a helicopter unless it was a helicopter on fire travelling in a perfectly straight line and making no noise whatsoever..

"We are not saying it is aliens but it is definitely an unidentified flying object." Another reader, Mel, wrote: "I wish people would stop dismissing all orange UFOs as Chinese lanterns..

"I have seen the same thing, at County Durham, England. It was not a lantern, or a helicopter..

"My fiancé was in the army 16 years, and he has seen most types of aircraft, and he cannot explain what it was that we saw but it was certainly not a lantern, helicopter, or any of the usual aircraft..

"It was orange, glowing from the centre outward, moving very fast, and at least 50 feet in diameter..

"We stopped our car, got out, and it flew over the top of us before accelerating, at high speed, in an upward direction." Many people are reluctant to have their name linked with UFO sightings and one anonymous couple have reported a sighting over the Cromarty Firth on Monday, February 15.

What they described was a huge fireball passing close to the oil rig Arctic Two which is anchored in the firth.

The fireball arrived from a southerly direction, travelling at a high speed almost level with the top of the oil rig..

The couple's first reaction was it was a light aircraft or helicopter but then the "apparition" seemed to dive at an angle of 45 degrees into the water halfway between the rig and shoreline..

The couple said they had seen some of the comments rubbishing Mr Jackson's claims on our website and for that reason want to remain anonymous.

So concerned were they at what they had seen they contacted Dingwall police who dismissed it as a Chinese lantern.

"Even so, we still had difficulty in totally accepting that was what we'd seen..

"We then looked the lanterns up on the net and it didn't really appear to be the same." Southport author Pat Reagan, who has a new book about to come out entitled UFO: Search For The Truth , has carried out research into MoD files.

He said he was a semi-sceptic until he started getting involved in the subject and added: "I have received many calls with reports of sightings from people and very often it is the case that it is Chinese lanterns which have been seen..

"But Chinese lanterns are very flimsy and we have reports of these unidentified flying objects keeping up against strong headwinds and keeping pace with cars along coastal roads, so clearly these are not lanterns.

"In my new book I have a story about a 900-year-old skull which was found in New Mexico and geneticists have found non-human DNA from one of the parents. It has been the subject of a study known as the Starchild Project and it's been on-going now for 10 years..

"There are a lot of incredible things out there and we need to keep an open mind." AMATEUR photographer Susan Gilchrist caught this picture travelling on the road from Nairn to Croy on February 20 at sunset.

"I would never be dismissive of people who report UFOs. But this was I think a trick of light caused by the setting sun through the trees," said Susan, a reception manager at a dental practice in Inverness.

"I had been out for the day taking photographs at Findhorn Bay and I was travelling back home near the straight approaching Croy village when I stopped to take this picture. It would have been between 4 and 5pm..

"I put it on my Facebook site and it caused quite a stir.

"Some of my colleagues said they thought it looked like a bus and I should have called on Mulder and Scully from The X-Files to investigate." Susan added: "It's funny how people see things differently. I would never knock people who report UFOs. They obviously see things which are unexplained. I can't explain this one but it was a strange phenomenon which I can only put down to the setting sun through the trees."

UFO Sighting is uncovered after 100+starlings fall out of the sky and lie dying On 11, March 2010.

One of many comments of seeing the strange lights in the sky.
======================

"I would not usually comment on something like this, but yesterday I saw a bright orange glow in the sky, then it seemed to get higher only for it to vanish! I am a total non believer in UFOs but could not explain this"

- Joey, London, 11/3/2010 16:14

On Sunday night, over a quiet Somerset house, scores of swooping starlings tumbled out of the sky and fell, dead, into a single front garden.

Covering an area 12ft across, more than 100 birds carpeted the garden, each with blood oozing from its beak and curled up claws.

Most had died, although some flapped lamely, clearly in pain until the RSPCA put them out of their misery.

An RSPCA animal welfare officer was called in by Julie Knight to collect the dozens of dead birds from her garden in Coxley, Somerset
Householder Julie Knight, 53, returned to her home in the quiet village of Coxley at 4.15pm to find the macabre scene, which has mystified experts.
An RSPCA expert said the cause of the deaths was 'a mystery'.

Julie, a nurse, said: 'It was like something out of an horror film - like Hitchcock's The Birds - it was absolutely terrifying.

'The sky was raining starlings. One of my neighbours saw them. They seemed to just fall out of the sky. About 70 were dead straight away.
'The only way to describe what they looked like is that they seemed to have had a fright and were petrified.

'There must have been over 100 birds in total. I've been a country girl all my life and I've never seen anything like it.'

Some of the bodies fell into the boughs of a tree, where a number of distressed surviving birds perched. Just six survived.

'My only thoughts are that the birds, who are greedy in nature, had been eating crops sprayed with weedkiller and were poisoned - but it's all very weird.'
Lloyd Scott, from the Royal Society for the Protection of Birds, said: 'This is one of the oddest things I've ever heard about.
'We've certainly never come across anything similar.'

Even the animal experts are unsure why they died.

'Starlings have natural habits and behaviour, when flying around in a murmuration they relate each movement to the seven birds closest to them.
'They are hardwired into doing this and on instinct they stay away from each other.'
Mrs Knight insisted they had simply fallen out of the sky.
Post mortems on the starlings carried out today proved inconclusive.
They were all found to have physical injuries - with most suffering either broken wings or a shattered beak - but no underlying health problems or toxins which could explain their sudden deaths.

RSPCA spokesman Helen Cohen said the cause of the incident was 'still a mystery'.
She said: 'We were informed that a lady had reported many dead or dying starlings on her property. This is obviously an extremely unusual occurrence.
'Tests were carried out on some of the birds and they were found to have physical injuries but we could find no evidence of any health issues which could explain what had happened.
'We know they did not strike power cables because they would have fallen directly beneath and there are none nearby.

Flocks of hundreds or even thousands of starlings often fly togther, seemingly as one, with each bird closely watching seven others to determine the direction of the 'murmuration' (file photo)
'The only possible explanation we can think of is that something has caused the flock to suddenly change their direction of flight and caused them to hit the ground.

'It could have been that a bird of prey could have scared them into doing this, but it is still a mystery really.'

Mrs Knight added: 'I'm worried about what could have killed them because I have a young grandson and two cats that are often in my garden.

April 8, 2010, Lebanon, Mo UFO sighting by salesman.

Report from a salseman in Lebanon, Mo USA.

I'm a travelling salesman who's been working around the Lebanon, Mo area for the past year or so. I had just got done with an appointment just north of Lebanon on Hwy 5 when the people who's home I was visiting brought up the subject of UFO's. After I mentioned I had a great interest in the subject but that I personally had never witnessed a UFO, they said they have had several sightings beginning in January and that "they" are out there almost every night. So as I was leaving the lady's father said I'll go see if they are out there tonight. About a minute later he came back in and confirmed they were. This peaked my interest. So we all went outside, I loaded up my things in my van and then I looked skyward to where the people directed me. At first the objects just looked like stars until they handed me the binoculars. I had trouble keeping the binoculars steady until I rested them on a large car jack. As I focused in on the object I saw it quite clearly. It looked like when fireworks explode, the initial burst except there wasn't a burst or explosion. There were several lights that appeared to protrude from an inner object that was perhaps spherical in shape but not visible. It absolutely was not an airplane or helicopter. Then my new friends pointed out a few more similar objects in different parts of the sky. The objects appeared to oscillate somewhat about 10 - 15 degrees. My new friends said that on other nights the objects would sometimes appear to make rectangular patterns and even "morph" into one another. They also mentioned that they've seen what they refer to as the "mother ship" that was absolutely enormous but since I did not see that object I will confine this report to what I saw personally witnessed. These "star-burst" objects were there the entire time I stood outside these people's home which was a little over an hour. Since these people said that the objects are there almost every night, I'm going to continue to work in that area but watch out for them now. I told these people about Ted Phillips whom I saw speak at the MOU Conference last July in Independence, Mo. I told them about the "Marley Woods" and how Mr Phillips wouldn't disclose where exactly in Missouri it was located but that it was in fact a UFO hot-spot. Also I told them that a lady I met at the conference told me that the Marley Woods were around the area of Licking, Mo which was a little over an hour by car down Hwy 32 from where we were in Lebanon, Mo. I'm going to go buy my own set of binoculars and go down there again tonight and see if I can see the objects again.
