China is frantically giving finishing touches to world’s largest radio telescope designed to find signs of alien life following NASA’s recent discovery of ‘Earth 2.0’ with the planet-hunting Kepler space telescope.
While NASA basked in the success of discovering an earth-like planet around 1,400 light years away with Kepler 452b, China announced that it has started assembling the world’s largest radio telescope, which is the size of 30 football fields in its Guizhou Province to enhance its ability to observe outer space.
Technicians began to assemble the telescope’s reflector, which is 500 metres in diameter and made up of 4,450 panels. Each panel is an equilateral triangle with a side length of 11 metres, state-run Xinhua news agency reported.
Once completed, the single-aperture spherical telescope called “FAST” will be the world’s largest, overtaking Puerto Rico’s Arecibo Observatory, which is 300 metres in diameter.
Nan Rendong, chief scientist of the FAST project with the National Astronomical Observatories, Chinese Academy of Sciences, told Xinhua that the bigger the dish is, the more capable the telescope is and the weaker messages it will receive.
“A radio telescope is like a sensitive ear, listening to tell meaningful radio messages from white noise in the universe. It is like identifying the sound of cicadas in a thunderstorm,” he said.
The new telescope is expected to greatly enhance Chinese scientists’ capacity to observe outer space.
Wu Xiangping, director-general of Chinese Astronomical Society, said that for years Chinese scientists have worked on “second hand” data collected by others and failed to achieve breakthrough.
“Having a more sensitive telescope, we can receive weaker and more distant radio messages. It will help us to search for intelligent life outside of the galaxy and explore the origins of the universe,” Wu said.
With a perimeter of about 1.6 km, it will take about 40 minutes to walk around the telescope. The giant dish is built upon a naturally-formed bowl-like valley in the southern part of Guizhou.
“There are three hills about 500 metres away from one another, creating a valley that is perfect to support the telescope,” Sun Caihong, chief engineer of FAST’s construction said explaining the reason why this site was chosen.
The karst formation in the local landscape is good for draining rainwater underground and protecting the reflector, Sun said.
The surrounding area has “radio silence” as there are no towns and cities within a sphere of five km and only one county centre within a sphere of 25 km, he said.
The huge dish is actually hung over the ground supported by thousands of steel pillars and cables. There will be maintenance passages under it.
The construction of the telescope began in March 2011 and is set to finish next year.

This video caught a glowing object during a sunset in Mexico. These people seem to be Raelians, which is a religious group founded by a person who saw a UFO land on a mountain and talked to the alien. Sounds cool at least. I can't say its wrong. I mean it's similar to Scientology, which seems to believe that instead of angels and gods, aliens are our creators. Well, aliens manipulated our DNA, and other may have manipulated our history, but still sounds cool to me. I don't follow either. This second sun looks like a UFO. On Monday July 13th 2015, at approximately 7:40 pm, several high ranking clergy members, including a Cardinal, an Archbishop, and two Bishops, witnessed and recorded a naked-eye sighting of the "SECOND SUN" (Nibiru / Nemesis), and they are now releasing the video to the public.
The video was taken at sunset off the North American West Coast, at the Baja Interfaith Sanctuary, just South of Rosarito Mexico.
The video includes two recordings, and still image shots to verify that the object is a genuine celestial body, and not a camera anomaly.
Also included is a recently discovered and published "Torah Code", that seemingly predicted this.

Perhaps I'm wrong, but it looks like it. This video was released on one of the many official NASA Youtube channels. They docked on July 23rd. The strange thing about it is that the Expedition 44 capsule that is trying to dock, is passing behind the camera arm. However, parts of the capsule are in front of the arm. This is a tell tale sign of a UFO being faked by CGI, at least when its a UFO passing in front of an object that its suppose to be behind. So, why is NASA faking this video of the Expedition 44 capsule docking at the ISS? It is possible that the crew didn't go to the ISS, but instead went to another secret location where they have long ago commandeered an abandoned alien base, like the one near Deporte crater on Earths moon. I was watching a new video made with Plutos images and posted by NASA at their official Youtube site and I could not help but notice this face. The face stood out very well and looks almost human. A few things about it seem different. The ear on its right side looks different from ours. Also his neck seems thinner, weaker than our own. Everything else looks similar, his hair, eye, nose, mouth, lips, cheeks, forehead. It must be a very famous person in their culture to get this special treatment. A great ruler, or hero to the people. You can view the face in the NASA video at 12 seconds until 28 seconds into the video. Best at 28. And to the aliens who made this face...We know you are out there, watching, wondering. We see you.

Some of them are faces, which could have bodies buried below the surface. Also one is a very interesting structure that I believe is a ship, but long since abandoned and may still be used as a building (1s photo above). Some of the faces depict human-like species, others show a feline or cat species, and another WTH face I have never seen before. NASA put this massive photo into false color (baby poop brown), so you need to hit auto adjust on any photo program to get the normal color. That is all I did to make it stand out. Scott C. Date of sighting: July 23, 2015 Location of sighting: Nottingham, England This ring UFO was spotted by a boy in England this week as it flew over his house. Although it could be a smoke ring, such ring UFOs have been recorded by the US military and they confirmed it was a UFO (Sept 1957 Ft. Belvoir). So, only a closed mind would say its 100% chance of being a smoke ring, however...there is a chance, just not that big. I believe this to be a ring UFO. A UFO that is a drone, but usually stays high up in the clouds and it can also form a cloud around in in under a minute. UFOs cause animals to act strangely...so did you notice the birds flying all around it? It clearly got their attention. This is a true sign of a UFO. Another is that it took place during sunset.
