This is a special historic report, one that I can attest to being real. You see, I (Scott Waring) was in the USAF at Ellsworth. However I chose to live off base in Rapid City, about 18 miles away from the SAC base. Ellsworth is home to not just B1 bombers (my area), but also hundreds of long range nuclear missiles.   One day I walked out to the parking lot to go to the base, when I saw about 20 people looking straight up. I looked and saw 4 long cloud tunnels that started above our parking lot (1000 meters up) and disappeared over the mountains. Then a rumbling and a 747 size glowing florescent ball appeared at the end of the tunnel over me. It slowly moved through the cloud tunnel gaining speed as it moved, till it moved faster than an any jet, disappearing in the distance.  I saw about 25 of these before I realised I was almost late, and jumped in my Datsun B210 and took off to base. It was about noon, on a cloudless day, except those 4 cloud tunnels. Thousands saw it, but no one talked about it back in 1989-90. The report below is a similar, but single UFO. 

The significant part of my sighting, the UFOs came from underground near my apartments on the hill. There has to be an alien base below Rapid City, SD.

Source: Captain Edward J. Ruppelt, Former Director of Project Blue Book I first heard about the sighting about two o'clock on the morning of August 11,1953, when Max Futch called me from ATIC. A few minutes before, a wire had come in carrying a priority just under that reserved for flashing the word the U.S. has been attacked. Max had been called over to ATIC by the OD to see the report, and he thought that I should see it. I was a little hesitant to get dressed and go out to the base, so I asked Max what he thought about the report. His classic answer will go down in UFO history, "Captain," Max said in his slow, pure Louisiana drawl, "you know that for a year I've read every flying saucer report that's come in and that I never really believed in the things." Then he hesitated and added, so fast that I could hardly understand hini, "But you should read this wire." The speed with which he uttered this last statement was in itself enough to convince me. When Max talked fast, something was important. A half hour later I was at ATIC - just in time to get a call from the Pentagon. Someone else had gotten out of bed to read his copy of the wire. I used the emergency orders that I always kept in my desk and caught the first airliner out of Dayton to Rapid City, South Dakota. I didn't call the 4602nd because I wanted to investigate this one personally. I talked to everyone involved in the incident and pieced together an amazing story. Shortly after dark on the night of twelfth, the Air Defense Command radar station at Ellsworth AFB, just east of Rapid City, had received a call from the local Ground Observer Corps filter center. A lady spotter at Black Hawk, about 10 miles west of Ellsworth, had reported an extremely bright light low on the horizon, off to the northeast. The radar had been scanning an area to the west, working a jet fighter in some practice patrols, but when they got the report they moved the sector scan to the northeast quadrant There was a target exactly where the lady repored the light to be. The warrant officer who was the duty controller for the night, told me that he'd studied the target for several minutes. He knew how weather could affect radar but this target was well defined, solid, and bnght." It seemed to be moving, but very slowly. He called for an altitude reading, and the man on the height-finding radar checked his scope. He also had the target - it was at 16.000 feet. The warrant officer picked up the phone and asked the filter center to connect him with the spotter. They did, and ihe two people compared notes on the UFO's position for several minutes. But right in the middle of a sentence the lady suddenly stopped and excitedly said, "It'sstarting to move - it's moving southwest toward Rapid." The controller looked down at his scope and the target was begining to pick up speed and move southwest. He yelled at two of his men to run outside and take a look. In a second or two one of them shouted back that they could both see a large bluish-white light moving toward Rapid City. The controller looked down at his scope, the target was moving toward Rapid City. As all three parties watched the light and kept up a steady cross conversation of the description, the UFO swiftly made a wide sweep around Rapid City and returned to its original position in the sky. A master sergeant who had seen and heard the happenings told me that in all his years of duty - combat radar operations in both Europe and Korea - he'd never been so completely awed by anything. When the warrant officer had yelled down at him and asked him what he thought they should do, he'd just stood there. "After all," he told me, "what in hell couldf we do - they're bigger than all of us." But the warrant officer did do something. He called to the F-84 pilot he had on combat air patrol west of the base and told him to get ready for an intercept. He brought the pilot around south of the base and gave him a course correction thai would take him riglit into the light. which was still at 16.000 feet. By this time the pilot had it spotted. He made the turn, and when he closed to within about 3 miles of the target, it began to move. The controller saw it begin to move, the spotter saw it begin to move and the pilot saw it begin to move - all at the same time There was now no doubt that all of them were watching the same object. Once it began to move, the UFO picked up speed fast and started to climb, heading north, but the F-84 was right on its tail. The pilot would notice that the light was getting brighter, and he'd call the controller to tell him about it. But the controller's answer would always be the same, "Roger, we can see it on the scope." There was always a limit as to how near the jet could get, however. The controller told me that it was just as if the UFO had some kind of an automatic warning radar linked to its power supply. When something got too close to it, it would automatically pick up speed and pull away. The separation distance always remained about 3 miles. The chase continued on north out of sight of the lights of Rapid Cty and the base - into some very black night. When the UFO and the F-84 got about 120 miles to the north, the pilot checked his fuel; he had to come back. And when I talked to him, be said he was damn glad that he was running out of fuel because being out over some mighty desolate country alone with a UFO can cause some worry. Both the UFO and the F-84 had gone off the scope, but in a few minutes the jet was back on, heading for home. Then 10 or 15 miles behind it was the UFO target also coming back. While the UFO and the F-84 were returning to the base - the F-84 was planning to land - the controller received a call from the jet interceptor squadron on the base. The alert pilots at the squadron had heard the conversations on their radio and didn't believe it. "Who's nuts up there?" was the comment that passed over the wire from the pilots to the radar people. There was an F-84 on the line ready to scramble, the man on the phone said, and one of the pilots, a World War II and Korean veteran, wanted to go up and see a flying saucer. The controller said, "OK, go." In a minute or two the F-84 was airborne and the controller was working him toward the light. The pilot saw it right away and closed in. Again the light began to clirnb out, this time more toward the northeast. The pilot also began to climb, and before long the light, which at first had been about 30 degrees above his horizontal line of sight, was now below him. He nosed the '84 down to pick up speed, but it was the same old story - as soon as he'd get within 3 miles of the UFO, it would put on a burst of speed and stay out ahead. Even though the pilot could see the light and hear the ground controller telling him that he was above it, and alternately gaining on it or dropping back, he still couldn't believe it - there must be a simple explanation He turned off all of his lights - it wasn't a reflection from any of the airplane's lights because there it was. A reflection from a ground light, maybe. He rolled the airp!ane - the position of the light didn't change. A star - he picked out three bright stars near the light and watched carefully. The UFO moved in relation to the three stars. Well, he thought to himself, if it's a real object out there, my radar should pick it up too; so he flipped on his radar-ranging gunsight. In a few seconds the red light on his sight blinked on - something real and solid was in front of him. Then he was scared. When I talked to him, he readily admitted that he'd been scared. He'd met MD 109's, FW 190's and ME 262's over Germany and he'd met MIG-15's over Korea but the large, bright, bluish-white light had scared - he asked the controller if he could break off the intercept This time the light didn't corne back. What he UFO went off the scope it was headed toward Fargo, North Dakota, so the controller called the Fargo filter center. "Had they had any reports of unidentified lights?" he asked. They hadn't. But in a few minutes a call came back. Spotter posts on a southwest- northeast line a few miles west of Fargo had reported a fast-nioving, bright bluish-white light. This was an unknown - the best.. The sighting was thorougly investigated, and I could devote pages of detail on how we looked into every facet of the incident; but it will suffice to say that in every facet we looked into we saw nothing. This is a great sighting and I'm so glad he got so much footage of it. The glowing UFOs were probably coming and going from the nearby mountain range. Its a hard to get place and good location for an underground base.

STRANGE images of "odd lights" in the skies above a remote mountain range have left experts stumped - after they appeared hundreds of miles away from any human activity. Two men using night-vision cameras captured the bizarre sight at the base of the Catalina Mountains in Tucson, Arizona, in the US this month. Amid claims they reveal a UFO and an alien visitation, the duo's images are now being looked at by paranormal researchers. Tom Sanger and Gene Coleman were using separate pieces of camera equipment when they took the unexplained footage. They described their sighting to researcher Alejandro Rojas, editor of Open Minds magazine and former spokesman of the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON). Mr Rojas explained how Mr Coleman's video showed "one giant light", because the strange illuminations were "too intense" for his camera to separate. Nr Coleman had a Pulsar black and white night-vision camera while Mr Sanger was using Luna Optics colour night vision camera, which is capable of capturing footage at up to 20X magnification - but at that range focus can be lost. Mr Rojas added of Mr Sanger's footage: "Due to 'tinkering' with his camera, sometimes the lights seemed to be one big light, but he says they were actually three lights, as can be seen in most of the video." He said Mr Coleman's video showed "one giant light", because the illuminations were "too intense" for his camera to separate. He added: "But the men say there were three lights. Mr Sanger, who said they were filming at the Sabino Canyon car park at around 8.50pm when the lights appeared and hovered statically, also described a second event that involved "five white lights in a row with various flashes and lights showing up here and there". He added that they heard no sound and that the lights appeared above radio towers. The pair returned during daylight to investigate if any static lights could have been responsible, while they also looked at a map to estimate the probable direction of the lights.

Corporal Weygandt states that the DOE, Department of Energy was there on the scene immediately after him, taking control of the situation, with many men in black there. He was there just 15 minutes but because he had an up close look into the craft and the outer parts of the craft he was immediately arrested. The men dressed in black said they are on their own program and don't have to obey anyone, we just do what we want. Weygandt states, "yes there were life forms in the ship." He said he held the creatures hands, which only had four fingers. The men that were investigating the UFO in black cloths were with a team called, "Delta, Oscar, Echo."

I believe these aliens are inhabiting parts of the Peru area in underground bases, and have made an arrangement with the DOE to help cover up accidents. Evidence that aliens have been in Peru go back tens of thousands of year with the Nazdec lines, also a recent alien mummy was found (click here to view). I hope hackers investigate the DOE in Peru...it could be very interesting. Lance Corporal Weygandt was stationed in Peru when he was asked to report to a crash site of a mysterious aircraft shot down into a mountainside. He said it was unlike anything he had seen. After visiting the site, he was arrested and held in a cell for days.

When one of the five journalists who interviewed him complained about federal investigators arriving to search the home of a witness in an inquiry early in the morning, Mr Medvedev told the journalist not to worry before stepping out of shot.

But his microphone was still switched on when he said casually: "They are just jerks, so they come at eight in the morning. It's just their set of habits. I know many people who work in the police. They think if they come at seven in the morning they will get everything in the world."

Another of the journalists asked whether the president is handed secret files on aliens when receiving the briefcase needed to activate Russia's nuclear arsenal.

"Along with the briefcase with nuclear codes, the president of the country is given a special 'top secret' folder. This folder in its entirety contains information about aliens who visited our planet," Mr Medvedev answered playfully.

"Along with this, you are given a report of the absolutely secret special service that exercises control over aliens on the territory of our country ... More detailed information on this topic you can get from a well-known movie called 'Men In Black' ... I will not tell you how many of them are among us because it may cause panic," he says.

None of the television stations that interviewed Mr Medvedev broadcast the off-air comments, but they were delivered to Reuters as a pool signal and some were shown on YouTube.

Prime Minister Tony Blair was briefed on the UK's files about UFO sightings in 1998, newly declassified MoD documents have revealed.

Writer Nick Redfern urged him to "consider making available for public scrutiny all of the many and varied UFO reports compiled by the government".

The request came as the government began to implement Freedom of Information (FOI requests).

Some 6,700 pages of UFO documents have been released by the National Archives.

The documents also include details of a briefing made before a House of Lords debate on UFOs in 1979, and reveal that former prime minister John Major had been asked by a fellow MP in 1996 whether the government would set up a national inquiry into UFO sightings.

Summary: In November 1975, a group of six tree-trimmers were driving home from work. The driver stopped the truck when he noticed that a flying saucer was hovering above some nearby trees. Travis Walton approached the craft. He was then knocked to the ground by a blue and white light.

On November 5, 1975, six young woodcutters, along with their employer, were working in the Apache-Sitgreaves National Forest, engaged in a tree-thinning contract for the U. S. Forest Service. The forest is located in east central Arizona, and the work area is fifteen miles from Heber.

The story begins at approximately 6:10 P.M., when the men were heading home in a seven-man crew-cab truck. Traveling along a bull-dozed trail, one of the men sighted a gold-colored glow through the thickets. As they rounded a right-hand turn, they saw the source of the glow - a structural object hovering approximately fifteen feet above a clearing and a scant ninety feet or so from the viewers.

Travis Walton, twenty-two, was sitting on the right- hand passenger side of the front seat. When he saw the object, he called to Mike Rogers, the driver and boss of the crew, to stop. Hardly waiting for the truck to come to a complete halt, Walton jumped out and, at a fast walk, approached a woodpile (stacked by the thinners) to get a closer look. As his fellow employees called for him to be careful and come back, he stood and looked at the object, which was at a 60-degree elevation from his position. It had the shape of two "pie pans" or shallow bowls placed rim to rim. A "beeping" sound was heard by all.

Walton stepped back a couple of paces, intending to vacate the vicinity of the craft when his friends were startled to see a blue-green beam shoot out from the bottom of the craft, striking Walton in the upper area of his body, lifting him from the ground with his arms out stretched, and flinging him back to the ground.

Thinking he and the others were in danger, Rogers restarted the truck and left the area. A quarter of a mile away, he stopped and the six men looked back. They saw a light rise from the ground and streak into the north east, originating in the area where they had left Travis. Thinking it was the object, Rogers turned the truck around and drove back to the clearing.

For fifteen minutes the men searched for Walton, covering the near area and calling, but to no avail. Rogers then decided to drive to Heber, the nearest town, and report Walton's disappearance to the sheriff. On the way, they debated what they should tell, doubting that the truth would be believed, but, unable to come up with an acceptable explanation, they told what they had experienced.

On November 10, the six men were given polygraph tests which established that they had not harmed Walton (it had been implied that they had done away with Travis and hidden his remains, despite the fact that Rogers was his best friend of many years standing) and that they had, actually, seen a UFO.

On the night of November 10, at approximately midnight, a call came in to the Grant Neff residence (Mrs. Neff was Travis' sister and at the time the only Walton in Snowflake, Arizona, with a telephone). It was Travis, sounding confused and disoriented, saying he was at a phone booth in Heber and in terrible pain. Neff went to Mrs. Kellett's (Travis' mother) home, picked up Travis' brother Duane, who had come up from Phoenix when notified of his brother's disappearance, and drove at breakneck speed to Heber, where they found Travis slumped in a phone booth. He had a five-day growth of beard and appeared thin but was otherwise apparently all right.

Within hours, Duane drove Travis to his home in Phoenix, intent on keeping him away from the horde of reporters, which had plagued the Walton family during Travis' disappearance, and to obtain medical treatment.

For a short time, Duane Walton was frustrated by the representative of a local UFO group, who sent him to a pseudomedical hypnotist, but he was eventually contacted by the AERIAL PHENOMENA RESEARCH ORGANI ZATION (APRO), which called in a team of medical experts.

Ultimately, Walton was given the Minnesota Multi Phase Personality Inventory (MMPI), Rorschach (commonly called Inkblot) Polygraph and Psychological Stress Evaluator tests, all of which established that he had told the truth as he knew it. All of these tests were conducted and interpreted by experts.

Unfortunately, Walton only recalls an hour or two of his five-day absence. He claims to have awoke on a table in a room which he first assumed was a hospital. The ceiling seemed low, there was an oval-shaped metallic-colored apparatus on his chest (his denim jacket and shirt were pulled up), and he was in considerable pain. The "air" in the room seemed oppressive, i.e., warm and damp. It took a few minutes to get his wits about him, and when he became fully aware of his surroundings, he realized he was in no ordinary hospital. Around the "table" on which he reclined were three strange creatures-strange, because they were less than five feet tall, very pale, with large, domed heads, large eyes, small nose, mouth, and ears, and their bodies, encased in tannish orange, seamless jumpsuits, and were very thin.

Upon seeing them, Walton struggled to his feet, and when they approached him with their fingernail-less hands outstretched, he grabbed a rodlike object from an adjacent table and prepared to defend himself. After flailing about with the instrument for a moment or two, Walton was surprised to see the trio file out of the door and turn to the right.

After the creatures left, Walton also exited the room, turning left. Following a curved corridor, looking for a way out, he found a circular room with a chair (which was too small for him but nevertheless he sat in it) with a "screen" on each arm. He touched a lever and the "stars" on the "ceiling" above seemed to move, so he moved the lever back to its original position and decided against further experimentation.

Shortly, a "man," approximately six feet tall, with brown hair and strange golden-brown eyes, appeared at the door which Travis had entered. He beckoned to Travis, and Travis went to him, babbling question after question, none of which were answered. The "man" said nothing, took Travis by the arm, led him out into the corridor or hall, to the right, then stopped, whereupon a section of the wall opened. He had not touched anything. They walked into a small room, the door behind them closed, and seconds later a door opened in front of them. They then went down an incline (apparently out of the enclosure Walton had been in) where Walton found him self in a large enclosure resembling a quarter of a cylinder. There were three or four oval-shaped metallic objects parked there (the same apparent metallic substance as everything else he had seen). He was led by the "man" (who was clad in a blue "jumpsuit" with a clear "helmet") through the enclosure, to another door into a room where there were three other human-appearing individuals-two men and a woman. They resembled the first, except that, although they wore the same clothing, they were without helmets.

They gestured to him to get upon a table. He resisted, but they eventually succeeded in their efforts and Travis reclined; an apparatus resembling an oxygen mask with a black ball attached was placed over his face and he lost consciousness.

Travis awoke about midnight about a quarter mile west of Heber, Arizona. He was lying on his stomach and raised up to watch the curved, metallic hull of an aircraft taking off straight up, reflecting the yellow stripe of the dividing line of the highway below.

What did Travis Walton see? What did he experience? Tests indicate that he has related his experience truthfully. His book The Walton Experience (1978) will tend to illuminate the reader and enable him to make his own judgment.

THE CENNINA LANDING OF 1954

NOVEMBER I, 1954, is a date that marks the occurrence of one of the most extraordinary UFO landing and contact cases ever recorded (it has already been quoted by Vallee as No. 24 in his Century of Landings).

Cennina is a small town near Biicine, in the Province of Arezzo.

On the morning of that day (a Monday and a feast-day in the Catholic Church) Rosa Lotti nei Dainelli, a forty-year-old peasant woman mother of four children, living at a farm called "La Collina" which is situated in a lonely region between Cennina and Capannolc, had risen early to go down into Cennina to visit the church and the cemetery. She was carrying a bunch of carnations, destined for the altar of the Madonna Pellegrina, whose procession had taken place the preceding evening.

It was 6.30 a.m.

Rosa Lotti rarely went into town, and spent most of her time on her arduous duties on the farm.

On this feast-day morning however she had put on her new dress and started out along the footpath that leads, through fields and thickets, towards the town. She went barefoot, carrying her stockings and her "best" shoes so as not to get them dirty. She would put them on before she came to the first houses.

She reached a point on this path, regularly taken by her, where it passed through a thicket of low bushes. She knew this path perfectly. She had even gone along it many a time at night, without ever having any sort of unpleasant encounter or noting anything unusual.

Arriving in the middle of a small clearing among the shrubs and sparse trees, she suddenly beheld, near a pine tree and on the edge of the little grassy area, a strange and unwonted object that at once aroused in her both curiosity and surprise. It was a sort of huge spindle, fixed vertically in the ground.

The Craft and the "Little Men"

This is how Rosa Lotti subsequently described the strange machine:

"A sort of double cone, over 2 metres high and about a metre wide in the middle." (In La Nazhnc Italiwa, November 2, 1954.)

"Like two bells joined together at their bases." (In La Settimana Incotn, No. 24, Year XV.)

"The object was very swollen out in the middle and pointed at the two ends. It seemed to be covered with leather." (In Il Giornale del Mattlno, November 2, 1954,)

"The outside of it shone as though it was of very polished light metal. On the lower cone there was an open glass door, and inside it could be seen two little seats, little scats like those used by children. In the central part of the spindle, where it was widest, there was a sort of roundish glass, closely following the round shape of the mysterious machine. Rosa Lotti had heard no sound from it." (In La Nazione Italiana, November 2, 1954.)

Rosa Lotti had stopped in her tracks, astonished and curious. But her surprise was only just beginning. From behind the "spindle" she beheld two strange beings emerge. "Almost like men, but of the size of children," was her description.

The two little beings approached her with friendly expressions on their faces. She had plenty of time to make a thorough examination of them, so that she was afterwards able to describe them in the minutest details. About 1 metre in height, they were wearing a sort of grey overall, all in one piece, including the feet. On their backs they had short cloaks of a grey material, and over the one-piece overall they wore a sort of doublet, fastened, right up to the collar, with little buttons "like shining stars." Their trousers were tightly-fitting, "like the long underpants that our men wear in the winter."

Their faces, crowned by helmets, were normal, but small. Both were no taller than a five-year-old infant, but their bodies were in proportion. "It would have taken two of those things to make a man," she said, "but they were very fine looking, even though rather old."

Vigorous, lively, they were talking away "as though they were Chinese. They kept saying: 'liu.1 lai,' 'loi,' 'lau.* 'loi,' 'lai,' 'liu,' " 3

They gesticulated, but with no trace of menace. Indeed, on the contrary, in a friendly fashion, as though they were trying to make themselves understood and to strike up a rudimentary conversation.

The older looking of the two was the more jovial, laughing and obviously trying to establish contact with her. They had magnificent eyes, fjll of intelligence. Their noses were of normal shape, their mouths just like a man's, but their upper lips were slightly curled in the centre, so that even when they were not laughing their teeth were still exposed. They were teeth like ours, broad, strong teeth, but short (as though they had been filed down) and somewhat protruding, like the teeth of rabbits.

Their ears were hidden under two leather discs, and there was a band around their foreheads, al?o of leather.

Approaching Rosa Lotti, who was now terrified, they snatched out of her hands the bunch of carnations and one of her black stockings. When she remonstrated timidly, the one who seemed the older of the two handed some of the flowers back to her, but kept five of them. Then, having examined the structure of the flowers with an air of curiosily, and laughing the while, he wrapped them in the stocking and threw them into the "spindle" through the small opening.

Then they stepped back a few paces from her, and look two "packages" from inside the machine—white objects, circular, which they carried in the hollow of the arm, holding the arm bent with the hand on the chest. The thing seemed to be wrapped in a newspaper, but it was not a newspaper. (La Naz'tone Sera, November 2, 1954.)

Then they turned towards the lady again, but she had seized the moment to escape. After running about 100 metres, she looked back. Everything had vanished.

I had the opportunity to chat with Captain Carlos Antonio de los Santos on May 17th. He very kindly invited me to breakfast in the company of his wife Carmen and my son Alan. We discussed a variety of subjects, but particularly the experience he underwent in 1975 when three UFOs seized control of the private plane he flew at the time. Without the constraints of a formal interview, very interesting aspects began to emerge.

First and foremost, Captain de los Santos sticks by his original account, which is a good sign for ufologists who have supported him. Then we have the human aspect: Carlos Antonio still shakes when he recalls the events; although he is saddened by the memory of the mockery he was subjected to. With his characteristic kindness, he replied to questions posed by this interviewer regarding the case.

For example:

ALC: Did the UFOs cause you any physical harm?

Carlos Antonio: No, considering that they were only 2 meters distant from me, suspended over the small plane’s wings for 18 minutes.

ALC: Were you punished for going public with your experience?

Carlos Antonio: No. When someone said on TV that my pilot’s license had been revoked and that I’d vanished, it was all a lie.

ALC: Why did you fly to Zihuatanejo? The likeliest course of action would have been to stay at Lazaro Cardenas, your original location, before returning to Mexico City.

Carlos Antonio: Because I didn’t like that town and the nearest one (by private plane) was Zihuatanejo, Guerrero.

ALC: Have you been approached again by the so-called Men in Black?

Carlos Antonio: Never again. It only happened on two occasions. The first, when I was going to an interview with Mr. Pedro Ferriz, and the second on the stairway of a hotel, when I was about to meet with the late Dr. J. Allen Hynek.



ALC: Have you had further sightings?

Carlos Antonio: Yes, but not during flight. I even took some photos (they didn’t come out well, he adds). It was a large, luminous object, like a boiled egg split in half.

ALC: What are your thoughts about the incident, 35 years later?

Carlos Antonio: Well, it was something I experienced and it was real. An incident that I am still at a loss to explain. I don’t know where they [the objects] came from, or what their intentions were. Sometimes I think they were curious and that they approached us for this reason, although it could also be that they saved me from some unpleasant situation. The small plane looked good, but it was very old, from 1958. So who knows? Maybe it was about to stall in mid-air, or I was about to lose a wing or the tail section. Or have some other accident...I don’t know.

ALC: Did the objects remove you from your route?

Carlos Antonio: No. I remained within the air corridor. What they did was lift me higher, which is dangerous, since my cabin wasn’t pressurized.

ALC: What do you say to those who claim you suffered from hypoxia and that you “imagined” all of this?

Carlos: Well, they don’t know what they’re talking about. When you experience hypoxia you feel sick, naturally. You’re dizzy and your visual field shuts down, but you don’t hallucinate.

ALC: Furthermore, radar can’t suffer from hypoxia. The objects were detected.

Carlos Antonio: Just so. Two different air traffic controllers detected three unidentified echoes on their screens. Both the route controller and the approach controller.

ALC: In some illustrations of sketches that you allegedly made, I see that the 1975 UFOs had an antenna on their upper part. Is this correct?

Carlos Antonio: This is not correct. They had no antennae. They had opaque grey fuselages and a sort of windshield, but without rivets and completely smooth. I’m going to draw them for you (makes drawing). And don’t think that it’s the only incorrect item of evidence circulating around there. I’ve also seen the date set down incorrectly. Some put May 2nd and other May 13. Not at all – it was May 3rd, 1975. What I would like to make clear is that my personal and professional reputation is safe thanks to the testimony of air traffic controllers. They had the three objects on their screens, making 270-degree turns in a very tight radius of action.

ALC: Aside from UFOs, have you had other strange experiences?

Carlos Antonio: Yes (the discussion turns to paranormal phenomena and the encounters he had with a very short person, having human features but possibly of alien origin. Unlike the Men in Black, this being behaved courteously)

ALC: Is it true that you’re writing a book?

Carlos Antonio: How did you hear about it? It’s among my plans. We’re working on it.

Capri island has new UFO sighting, Florida.

On April 8, I wrote about the unusual sightings that my husband and I watched over Johnson's Bay for three consecutive nights.

We discovered that we were not the only ones to see the bright white ball of light that appeared out of nowhere and then sat silently about 150 feet above the water and mangroves March 27 through 29.

Morgan Beall, state section director with the Mutual Unidentified Flying Object Network, also known as MUFON, read this story and came to the Isles of Capri to investigate.

After speaking with Isles of Capri Fire/Rescue Chief Emilio Rodriguez and some of his staff as well as Mike Castellano, owner of Capri Fish House and his staff, Beall quickly learned that they, too, had witnessed the event and others like it in past months and years.

Beall's investigation revealed that residents of Marco Island and Naples had also witnessed similar sightings.

On April 20 at around 9:22 p.m., workers from Capri Fish House called Beall to report seeing the same light in the same area again, but a bit further away.

On that same night, four other residents of Capri also witnessed it. Each of them described the object as a strange motionless and silent white light that appeared to be pulsating a slight reddish or yellowish light off to the west over Johnson's Bay.

Beall and his partner came to Capri to investigate, but because they had to travel from Fort Myers, by the time they arrived at 11:15 p.m., the object was gone.

More eyewitnesses

On May 26, and again June 10, more eye witnesses viewed this strange object.

This time it was in much closer, and on both nights it was seen between 9 p.m. and 11:15 p.m.

Chuck and Ginny Walton were the first to notice it May 26.

They came to our house and asked us to "come out to take a look."

We took our binoculars and were in awe of what we saw.

Globe-shaped

It was globe-shaped, and appeared to resemble a huge gyroscope. It hovered about 200 feet over the water in Capri Pass off to the west of us.

With the naked eye, we could see it pulsating a yellow and white light.

With binoculars, each of us could see the exquisite details of the object.



There were colored lights that ran horizontally around the globe.

There were bright white lights running vertically around it as well.

It appeared transparent, with an extremely bright white light inside that seemed to surround a black hole. It looked as if it had spikes jutting out from the top and the bottom.

It hovered, completely silent, for almost an hour before moving briefly to one side, then a slight dip down, and eventually backing up until it appeared to drop down and totally disappear in a flash.

The object appeared again June 10 at 9:55 p.m. and in approximately the same location, closer and much larger.

The Waltons were again the first to call us to ask if we had seen it. We grabbed our binoculars to take a look.

There it was. It was closer than we had ever seen it before. It began moving in toward us and hovering there for about 15 minutes before moving back to its original location.

Rodriguez and each of his men on duty that night also witnessed the event.

The descriptions that each of us shared are identical!

Beall was notified and is preparing to make additional visits with his photography equipment in hopes of capturing video footage of the object.

Other UFO groups are also tracking sightings in hopes of identifying the UFOs on and around Capri.

In the meantime, Beall is asking witnesses to draw a picture of what they see if they cannot capture it on film.

A long-time resident and fishing guide of Capri has registered his sightings as well.

Not only has he seen the same bright white ball of light in the sky on numerous occasions, he has also uncovered some strange large circles of barren land in several of the nearby mangroves.

Beall spent an entire day with him, visiting several of these unusual places by kayak.

"One we visited was about the size of the footprint of Capri Christian Church," Beall said.

"There was no vegetation growing on these bare circular spots," he said. "When the soil samples taken from the spot were tested, they showed no signs of radioactive or unusual metal materials, however the sand seemed to be glass-like and extremely white."

Please remember that if you see a UFO, according to UFO expert Michael Curta, use a camcorder or camera on a tripod to record what you see.

Write down all of the details of what you see to include date, time, distance; ask other witnesses to record their viewings; refrain from disturbing any trace left behind if a UFO hits the ground; judge the distance the object appears from where you stood; note and record any movement; should you encounter any danger, protect yourself, and immediately report the event to a UFO research organization.

MUFON is the largest and has investigators in all 50 states and around the world.

MYSTERY surrounding recent sightings of orange fireballs over the skies of Inverness deepened this week with the report of another UFO being spotted.


Keen planespotter and part-time pilot Bill Renny saw the latest inexplicable object over the Kessock Bridge on the evening of Thursday, May 20.

The sighting comes in the wake of several reports of similar incidents in recent weeks of unexplained flying objects being spotted in the night skies in and around the city.

Bill (49), who is employed as a builders' yard supervisor and lives in Anderson Street, has had a lifelong interest in aviation and military history.

"I was born in Renfrew, virtually at the end of the main runway at Glasgow Airport, and my first job was with Loganair which i got because I was always hanging around the airport planespotting," he said.

"My uncle was a pilot and took me up on a flight was when I was very young and I flew solo before I was 19.

"What I saw that evening I cannot reconcile with anything I have seen before. I'm not talking about green men or anything like that. It was simply something I cannot explain."

Bill was walking his dog along the River Ness at the end of Anderson Street about 11.10pm when he saw an orange fireball in the sky.

"This was not a Chinese lantern," he said. "It flew at a steady height and course. There was no wind and the object flew much, much faster than a lantern. It was silent. There were clouds at about 5,000ft and this object was below the clouds. It was only about 1,000ft above my head and flew right over the top of the Kessock Bridge.

"Apart from the lack of sound, there were no navigation lights, either red or green, nor any anti-collision strobe lights, white tail lights or landing lights. It was not night sun spotlights as seen on helicopters."

The object flew along the southern shore of the Moray Firth, possibly past Kilmuir on the Black Isle, Bill said.

"It entered low cloud and I never saw it again," he added.

Bill was so excited about what he had seen he woke his wife Gillian to tell her about it, then he went on to the internet and found the reports which have been appearing recently in the Highland News.

In March, Culloden man Rob Jackson told the HN he had seen UFOs four times over Nairn and Inverness. Then, last month, RAF airman Karl King reported a similar sighting in the direction of Inverness seen from his home in Moray.

Bill told the HN: "I just wanted to tell you what I saw to add support to the claim made by the chap in the RAF.

"I served for eight years in the South African army and I have more than 300 books on aviation and military history, and have never witnessed anything like this before."

A spokeswoman for RAF Kinloss said the Ministry of Defence no longer comments on UFO enquiries but she confirmed their was no air activity from Kinloss in the vicinity of Inverness that night.

A spokeswoman for Inverness Airport said the airport was closed at that time of night so they wouldn't be aware of any air activity in the area.
